Flex Rating and Fit : Flex: 8 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff). The Burton Ion Snowboard Boots are a stiffer boot perfect for backcountry pow slashes and riders who prefer a bit more support from their boots.
Construction : The dual-density design of the Ice Spikes creates a soft, grippy outsole enhanced with stiffer spikes that dig into ice when slipping isn’t an option. // Thin Profile 3D Molded Tongue - Adjusting the profile of the tongue’s thickness controls its flex, enhances its ability to wrap the forefoot, and reduces shell/liner stack-up for improved comfort. // Burton Imprint liners rock three different types of external support panels. They’re built using memory materials that, even after being deeply flexed, cause both the liner and shell to snap back into their original position.
Liner and Lacing : Whether you have funky cankles or a grotesque sixth toe, rest assured that your feet will be wrapped with comfort in Burton’s Imprint liner. While they fit great out of the box, you can even custom mold these babies to the shape of your foot with Burton’s EMU heat-molding system, found at your local shop.
Special Features : Shrinkage Footprint Reduction Technology reduces the boot’s overall footprint one full size, meaning a size 10 boot fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, and less bulky, with Shrinkage you can finally ride the board of your dreams.

La già ottima sensazione che trasmette al rider la soletta in EST (che essendo attraverso essa riusciti ad abbassate il punto dove appoggia il tallone, permette di fissarsi bene entro gli attacchi e un collegamento Cervello-attacchi-tavola molto più rapido) può essere migliorata e personalizzata grazie all'esclousivo "RX Adjustable Cushioning" system della Burton.
