The new Redster STR (Slim Team Race) series: F5, F4, 3, 2 LC, 1 LC
AE5031740_REDSTER_STR_F5_0001.png

  • Purpose built for smaller, lighter athletes with our hallmark lower volume fit and thinner plastic walls.
  • Replaces STI; same exact mold & last as STI – no change.
  • Same fit and geometry as before (it’s the same mold & last)
  • 91mm last (26.5)
  • 91mm?? STI (and TI) are from an era when brands didn’t really know how or what to communicate with regard to last width. In the early 2000s, the last width we communicated was the width of the actual aluminum last. But, due to plastic shrinkage, this is not the last width that you end up with. The metal last of STI/STR is 93mm, but the plastic shell you end up with is 91mm. We now communicate the plastic measurement, just like every other boot we make.
  • New Formula plastics that are more temperature stable. Still PU, just more consistent, more predictable across a wide range of temperatures. Every globe won by Atomic athletes in the last 3 years has used this plastic. This is the “F” in F4, F5, F6.
  • New flex hierarchy in racing. Gone are traditional 3-digit flex numbers and in place a more simple and less confusing index: 1-6, smaller number softer flex.
  • New Depth Guide boot board has 2mm deep grooves in it to allow you to accurately gauge grinding modifications. 0.0° canting angle, no varus/valgus built into it. 4° ramp angle. Securely screwed into shell at heel.
  • New cuff alignment hardware that is backwards compatible with older boots. Same 4° of total motion but now with indicators every 0.25°.
  • Metal Power Control from our “Speed Cuff” on the cuff spine. Adjusts forward lean angle 16°-18°. Add the upper screw to lock your forward lean and cuff alignment settings in place.
  • New Magnesium Elite buckles that are lower profile and better at deflecting impacts & gate strikes.
  • New microfiber and memory foam liner construction that is made following athlete specification. About 1/3 of our World Cup athletes use this liner, with the remaining taking one of our foam injection options.
  • Ankle Retention System – Borrowed from mountaineering boot lacing patterns, this simple yet incredibly effective lace guide generates more mechanical advantage around your ankle when lacing up the liner.
  • True size 21/21.5 added to size offer, featuring a 256mm BSL.
The new Redster TR (Team Race) series: F5, F4, F3

AE5031680_REDSTER_TR_F5_0001.png

  • Purpose built for larger, stronger athletes with our hallmark racing volume fit and thick plastic walls.
  • Replaces TI; all new mold and last, heavily, heavily based on TI.
  • 93mm last (26.5)
  • 93mm?? TI (and STI) are from an era when brands didn’t really know how or what to communicate with regard to last width. In the early 2000s, the last width we communicated was the width of the actual aluminum last. But, due to plastic shrinkage, this is not the last width that you end up with. The metal last of TI/TR is 95mm, but the plastic shell you end up with is 93mm. We now communicate the plastic measurement, just like every other boot we make.
  • 0.0° sole canting – no longer sole canted.
  • Anatomic Toe Box – more squared out and longer than before. Allows the foot to sit more naturally in the shell. The tip sealing has been moved forward 9mm vs. TI which allows for better forefoot wrapping and improved fit, comfort, and performance.
  • Power Chassis – the toe and heel of the sole are connected with a powerful bridge that increases torsional stability by 30%.
  • Grind Grid – a 1.5cm grid pattern is laser etched into the last providing boot fitters with grid on the inner shell wall for more accurately making stretching and grinding modifications.
  • New Depth Guide boot board has 2mm deep grooves in it to allow you to accurately gauge grinding modifications. 0.0° canting angle, no varus/valgus built into it. 4° ramp angle. Securely screwed into shell at heel.

The Redster TX (Team Cross) series: 130 (pictured), 120, 110, 100 LC, 80 LC

AE5031840_REDSTER_TX_130_0001.png

  • Made using the TR outer mold but with a wider last for increased comfort and a more manageable flex. Replaces the CS.
  • 96mm last (26.5) – retains much of the outgoing CS but with more toe space.
  • 0.0° sole canting – no longer sole canted.
  • New Formula plastics that are more temperature stable. Still PU, just more consistent, more predictable across a wide range of temperatures. Found in the 130 flex (F4 material).
  • Uses a traditional 3-digit flex index as this will be compared to more “normal” boots, even though there is not much “normal” happening here…
  • Anatomic Toe Box – more squared out and longer than before. Allows the foot to sit more naturally in the shell. The tip sealing has been moved forward 9mm vs. TI which allows for better forefoot wrapping and improved fit, comfort, and performance.

  • New Magnesium Elite buckles that are lower profile and better at deflecting impacts & gate strikes.
  • New microfiber and memory foam liner construction that is made following athlete specification. Uniquely built for the TX last shape.
  • Models featuring grip pads can use our TX-specific RTX Alpine Norm ISO 5355 or GripWalk ISO 23223 pads. Both are Cantology compatible for those shops requiring the ability to sole cant boots.

The Remedy 130

AE5031940_REMEDY_130_0001.png

  • Redster TX but more fun. Developed with our Freeride World Tour and freeski athletes who used a Redster boot. This boot is born out of the modifications done to a CS in order to make it freeski/all-mountain ready.
  • Same exact specifications and build as the TX 130.
  • ShockStopper boot board & ShockStopper liner spoiler.
  • GripWalk equipped.
  • Made with 100%, all natural Butter.
