"Ultimate Warrior dead at 54, just days after he was inducted
into WWE Hall of Fame

April 9 (National Post) -- Former wrestling superstar
Warrior, born James "Brian" Hellwig, passed away on Tuesday at
the age of 54.
According to TMZ, the pro wrestler collapsed around 6 p.m.
Tuesday night while walking to his car in Arizona with his
wife. He was pronounced dead at hospital

Warrior is best known for his time as "The Ultimate
Warrior" wrestling in the late 80s and early 90s, with his most
noted acomplishment winning the WWF championship from Hulk
Hogan at Wrestlemania 6 at the Skydome in Toronto. He was a top-
tier talent for the company before parting ways with it a few
years later. After leaving the WWF, he legally changed his name
to Warrior and wrestled for a time as part of Ted Turner's WCW.

Although he was not in the physical condition to wrestle,
Warrior returned to the WWE on Sunday for Wrestlemania 30 and
on Monday's "Raw" program. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of
Fame last week.
At his Raw appearance, Warrior gave a poignant speech in
which he spoke of being "immortalized."
"Every man's heart one day beats its final beat," he said,
donning a mask that mimicked his trademark face paint. "His
lungs breathe their final breath. And if what that man did in
his life what makes the blood pulse through the body of others
and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life,
then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized. By the
story tellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor
him and make the running the man did live forever."

The cause of death is so far unknown.
Warrior was known for his crazy man persona, his mask-like
make-up, neon arm-bands, and for his signature "body press"
finishing move where he held his opponent above his head and
slammed him to the mat.
Warrior leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
We are all so sad that the Ultimate Warrior has passed
away. Our heart is with his wife Dana and his two daughters.?

of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever, The Ultimate
Warrior.
Warrior began his WWE career in 1987 and quickly went on
to become one of the biggest stars in WWE history. Warrior
became WWE Champion at WrestleMania VI, defeating Hulk Hogan in
an epic encounter.
We are grateful that just days ago, Warrior had the
opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame
and was also able to appear at WrestleMania 30 and Monday Night
Raw to address his legions of fans. WWE sends its sincere
condolences to Warrior's family, friends and fans.
Warrior was 54 and is survived by his wife Dana and his
two daughters.
