Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill full and part time ski instructor positions, at Kimberley Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Winter Sports School Director, the ideal candidates will have CSIA or CASI certification or equivalent certification, strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, will be excellent communicators and team players. We focus on building and maintaining long lasting relationships with our staff and guests and encourage you to come “Experience the Ultimate” and be a part of our staff team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for the largest private owner/operator of ski resorts in North America, proudly operating Kimberley Alpine Resort as well as Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Nakiska Ski Resort. Some of the responsibilities for the position include, but not limited to: Duties: · Instruct and coach guests of all ages and abilities to ski or snowboard within instructors certification level, group lessons to privates, adults and children · Complete lesson ability reports & relevant administration forms as required · Knowledge and adherence to the Alpine Responsibility Code · Participating in the creation of school group itinerary plans and organization · General on hill tasks and maintenance as required · Acting as ambassadors and hosts at various functions for the resort on and off the hill Qualifications: · Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance or Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors certification required, Levels 1 – 4 · Dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic professionals with strong customer service skills · Ski industry experience an asset · Good interpersonal skills, working in a team environment Benefits: · Seasonal ski pass · 4% vacation pay · meal discounts · Sales commissions Positions and starting wages: CSIA / Ski Instructors · CSIA Level 1’s – starting wage of $11.00 / hr · CSIA Level 2’s – starting wage of $ 12.50 / hr · CSIA Level 3’s - starting wage of $ 14.25 / hr · CSIA Level 4’s – starting wage of $ 17.00/ hr Starting wage is for base level certification, hourly rate will be adjusted based on additional certification, and instructing experience.
